Caipirinha cupcake is a delight! Learn to do Chef Marlene Percílio, from MP Tortas Boutique, in Rio de Janeiro, created the dessert especially for the Olympic Games

Caipirinha is a traditionally Brazilian drink and well known, attracts by its sweetish flavor. If you are going to try this drink, be careful! It is a delicius, but it can make you drunk fast, because its main base is the Cachaça, can also be made with Vodka or Sake.

Here we will learn how to turn this drink into a beautiful and tasty cupcake


4 eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cups whole wheat flour
200g unsalted butter
1 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon baking powder
Shavings of 1 lemon


Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until it forms a cream.
Add the flour and the yeast to the mixture and, alternately, add the lemon juice.
Whisk the egg whites in the snow and gently mix in the mixture.
Bake in proper forms for preheated oven cupcakes.
Filling the lemon cream

1 can of condensed milk
Juice of 2 large lemons


Add the lemon juice to the condensed milk gradually until a uniform mixture is obtained.

Caipirinha Marshmallow
4 egg whites beaten
1 cup sugar tea
2 cup water
1/2 lemon juice
1 cup of cachaça or vodka

To make the syrup
Bring water and sugar to a boil. After boiling, add the lemon juice and the rum. Pour the hot syrup over the egg whites until it cools.

After baking, fill the cupcakes with the lemon cream and decorate them with the marshmallow, using bag and icing. And, finally, decorate with the zestes of lemon.
